Info
If we’ve confirmed that we can accommodate your request to join the trip we recommend that you take out travel insurance as soon as you pay the deposit - you may end up out of pocket otherwise.
Before Departure
- Make sure you have insurance in place.
- Start by reading the kit list; it is not exhaustive, but it provides a good starting point.
- Ensure you have read the medication information; it contains information for both prescribed and over the counter medication.
- Ensure that you have reviewed the medical forms for you and/or your athlete.
- Ensure your athlete has a debit card, or understands that they may be limited to where they can make purchases
- Refresh yourself and your athlete on slope safety by visiting Piste X Code - they have a quiz and poster.
- Make sure you have provided next of kin information either via Athlete Manager or to the person running the event
Departure Day
A volunteer will be near the check-in desks at the airport for trips abroad; they will be there to meet athletes and will wait with unaccompanied athletes until the volunteer that is buddied with them through the airport arrives.
Miscellaneous
- The hotel has a limited range of tea bags. If you have a strong preference for a particular brand you should bring your own to avoid any disappointment.
- The WiFi in the hotel is very temperamental.
- 4G coverage on the slopes and around the hotel is reasonably good, but make sure you check the roaming charges with your carrier beforehand - many carriers charge for roaming since Brexit.
